“Attributes” Field in Policy has Invalid Value After Upgrade

Article #ETM956

Versions Affected

ETM® System v5.0 – 5.0.2; fixed in 5.1

Symptom

When the ETM System is upgraded from version 4.1 to v5.0, the Attributes field is added to Voice Firewall Policies. The default value for the Attributes field is None; however, during the upgrade, Any is placed in the Attributes field for all existing Rules.

Description

The Attributes field is used to specify additional possible characteristics of VoIP calls to which you may want to apply the Firewall Policy. A value of Any in the Attributes field does not affect Policy processing; however, you can change it to None so that this field will match any new Rules that are created.

Solution

To change the Attributes field to None

  1. Open the Firewall Policy editor.
  2. Right-click the Attributes field of each Rule, then click None.
  3. On the Performance Manager toolbar, click the Save icon.
